A new Animation Award that will bring together the entire animation industry in Europe has been created. The European Animation Emile Awards, which is the name of the new award, is inspired by American Annie Awards, and organized by the European Animation Awards (EAA) for the first time in 2017.
Behind the award celebrating the European animation industry are among others Didier Brunner (Kirikou, The Triplets of Belleville), Marie Bro (The Boy Who Wanted to Be a Bear), Paul Young (Song of the Sea) and President of the EAA Peter Lord (Chicken Run, Wallace and Gromit).
EAAs’ presence is strengthened in each of the European countries through “EAA ambassadors”, who are experienced professionals and recognized experts in the animation industry in their respective countries. In Norway Festival Director of Fredrikstad Animation Festival, Anders Narverud Moen has the prestigious job of highlighting Norwegian animation to the EAA and in Europe.
Animation industry in the 46 countries is also invited to participate actively by becoming members of European Animation Emile Awards Association. More info on this can be found here.
