Don’t Tell Mom

26 OCT 23:00 Litteraturhuset

A stridently colourful explanatory film that helps children to express their feelings. Playful exercises and singing encourage the development of verbal and motor skills pertaining to bodily orifices and fluids. There is also a round of questions: What exactly is mum doing when she groans so loudly in the middle of the night? – Just don’t share with her what you have learned!

Director: Sawako Kabuki
Animation: Sawako Kabuki

Director's Biography:

Sawako Kabuki is an eccentric young animation artist in the tradition of legendary Japanese animator, Yōji Kuri. Her work pushes the boundaries of comfort by depicting female bodies masturbating, defecating, and even puking.  Her luridly coloured films are surreal and daring. There is always a tongue in cheek sense of humour lurking around in the corners of her work.
