Close to death and close to life. What happens when the body undergoes a trauma and death approaches? Mona, Andreas and Iki tell their own stories of close encounters with their own mortality. This animated documentary is based on in-depth interviews and the director’s personal experience.

Director Åsa Sandzén was born 1975 in Örnsköldsvik/Sweden.
She has a background in graphic design, animation and documentary and has among others made the multiple award winning animated short film “Still Born” – Swedish Academy Award, Best Short Film 2015, DOK Leipzig Goldene Taube Best Animated Short 2014, Uppsala Short Film Festival Best Swedish Film 2014, Tempo New Doc Award 2014, Special Mention at Nordisk Panorama 2014.
