Start the animated festival fun early by attending the Exhibition Opening for Anime Architecture. This is a pioneering exhibition by Riekeles Gallery –for the first time in Norway – which showcases iconic anime background art. Classic films like AKIRA (1988) and Ghost in the Shell (1995) have made Japanese anime a global phenomenon, celebrated for their cinematic portrayal of futuristic cityscapes. The exhibit features meticulous reproductions of urban architecture artworks which typically flash on screen for mere seconds in the movies.
Founded in 2021 in Berlin, Riekeles Gallery specializes in high-quality animation background reproductions. All displayed reproductions are available for purchase at the exhibition and online at www.riekeles.com.
The Exhibition Opening for Anime Architecture is Wednesday 18 October at 20:30.
