Izabela Plucinska is an animated film director. Born in Poland, she now lives in Germany. She is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz and Film Animation of the Cinematography Department at the Lodz Film School, where she also completed her Ph.D. in the field of animation. She specialises in clay animation. Her filmography includes Jam Session (2005) - a winner of the Silver Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival, Esterhazy (2009) and Sexy Laundry (2015). Currently she is a teacher at the Academy of Art in Szczecin, at the same time she is working at her own production company, ClayTraces, and is back with "JOKO", her latest film, inspired by a short novel by Roland Topor. It is a Polish-German-Czech co-production.
