This year's competition program for Nordic-Baltic commissioned film is of a more experimental nature. Unfortunately, short commercial spots are almost entirely absent from the program, reflecting the current state of the Norwegian animation industry. All the more delightful, then, that several of the projects in the program combine music and animation – both in the form of music videos and explorations of music as a visual expression. The program also offers public education content, with four of the films giving the animators a chance to visualize learning material. And as always – no film program is complete without a bit of madness! The program concludes with a 20-minute episode of a brand-new TV series from Iceland.
