Derek Holzer was born in the United States in 1972, and is an audiovisual artist, performer, researcher, lecturer, teacher and electronic instrument designer based in Stockholm. He is currently a PhD candidate at KTH Royal Institute of Technology’s Media Technology and Interaction Design department, where his research covers areas of historically informed audiovisual synthesis, media archaeology, design fictions and speculative technologies.
