A new pitching initiative connects production-stage projects with European co-producers, distributors, and financiers
The Fredrikstad Animation Festival (FAF) is proud to announce Storyline Production Pitch 2026, an exciting new industry initiative within the expanded Animated Network Days. This dedicated pitching platform showcases Nordic and Baltic feature animation projects actively seeking international co-production partnerships, distribution, and financing support.
Taking place on October 21, 2026, as part of the larger Animated Network Days (October 21–23), Storyline Production Pitch connects selected projects with key European decision-makers including producers, sales agents, distributors, commissioners, and film fund representatives. The initiative represents FAF's evolving commitment to serving as a structured hub for animation professionals across the Nordic-Baltic region.
A New Opportunity for Feature Animation
Storyline Production Pitch is designed specifically for feature animation projects in llate development stages. Selected projects receive:
- Live pitch presentations before a curated audience of industry professionals
- One-on-one meetings with decision-makers matched to each project's needs
- Networking access to leading European animation professionals
- Eligibility for the 100,000 NOK Storyline Grand Prize – awarded to one project to support activities any services at Storyline AS, including sound design, music, color grading, and final rendering.
Celebrating Diverse Animation Across the Region
Up to five feature animation projects will be selected from across the Nordic and Baltic countries – Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, and Sweden. The program welcomes projects of all animation styles and techniques, from 2D and 3D animation to stop-motion, hybrid, and experimental approaches. Projects must be feature-length (minimum 70 minutes) with a minimum 70% animated content, intended for theatrical distribution and/or festival circuits.
