Chiara Gabardl is a film critic, journalist, and film scholar. Her work spans cinema, academia, and the global audiovisual industry. She contributes to international media outlets and broadcasting networks and has taught university lectures on the phenomenology of film since 2015, while regularly speaking at film conferences around the world. Her expertise extends beyond criticism: she works as a film festival consultant and media analyst for streaming platforms, and has contributed to US and Italian productions as an associate producer and format creator. Chiara is also the author of Silent Women, a collection of poems written in Dante’s terza rima that gives voice to 21 pioneering female filmmakers of the silent-film era. The collection was later adapted into a podcast.
