Mads Grorud, (b. 1976), isa a Norwegian based director and scriptwriter of the animated feature The Tower ("Wardi"), produced by Tenk.tv in Norway, Les Contes Modernes produced in France, and Cinenic Films produced in Sweden.
Grorud has run his company Nubbsjangs Production since 2003, working in animation and documentary film. He's developing an animated documentary on political prisoner Walid Daqqa, with Masna'a alrusoom Mutaharrikah (Ramallah) and SES Studios (Amman). He co-founded palestina-animada.org, and since 2019 has developed the project DELTA with Mikrofilm (Norway). He also initiated postersforpalestine.com, promoting Palestinian art and supporting Gaza-based artists.
His films often draw on social, historical, and political themes shaped by his experiences living abroad.
