What’s happening in the far North?

At the New Nordic Animation forum, producers, experts, and studios from the Nordic region will present their latest projects, discuss how they collaborate across borders, and explore ways to produce films and animation in a more sustainable manner.

The forum is a collaboration between several Nordic organizations within the animation industry. Three of the presentations will focus on new projects and cross-border collaborations to ensure quality productions. Producer Lillian Løvseth from the Norwegian company Trollfilm will present the feature film in development, Finding Home. From Sweden, producer Simon Österhof will showcase the studio SOJA, which won the festival's first award for Best Feature Film back in 2019, and its latest projects, including a new feature film in development. Kristel Töldsepp from Danish-Estonian studio A. Film will talk about the challenges and advantages of cross-border collaboration in her presentation.

The session will conclude with a fourth presentation by Anne Puolanne from Audiovisual Producers Finland (APFI), sharing experiences on implementing green and sustainable strategies in Finnish audiovisual productions. If you would like to participate, please send an email to
