Thorey Mjallhvit H. Omarsdottir is an Icelandic animator, writer, illustrator, and director based in Reykjavík. Thorey has worked across animation, comics, film, teaching and storytelling for more than two decades, creating original worlds inspired by folklore, mythology, and the changing relationship between people and nature.

Thorey is the creator of Ormhildur the Brave (Ormhildarsaga), an animated adventure series and graphic novel universe that reimagines Icelandic folklore in a climate-altered future. Her films and animated works have been screened internationally. Thorey's work often combines fantasy, humor, and social commentary, with a particular focus on strong characters, environmental themes, and Nordic storytelling traditions.
