Viktoria Shmidt is an Estonian animator and filmmaker whose work explores the complexities of human experience and psychological states through animation. She graduated from the Animation Department of the Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA) and has worked across a wide range of animation fields, from auteur puppet animation to documentary, commercial projects and animation for the video game industry. She has worked with Eesti Joonisfilm, Rebel Frame, TED-Ed and Soyuzmultfilm, as well as directed a series at Master-Film and developed her own animation courses. For Viktoria, animation is a tool for giving form to inner states and exploring the human psyche. Her films include Cycle of Life and The Crack.
