In collaboration with one of the festival’s favorite haunts, the bar Hoi Polloi, we are serving up eight experimental animated short films that all excel in their vibrant visual style and explorative techniques. Despite the program's title, you will also find more concrete films—works where symbolism takes center stage and traditional narrative takes a back seat. The result is an exciting program featuring films with widely different artistic voices, bearing witness to innovative video artists who push the boundaries of the medium to achieve a powerful aesthetic.
