Death, love and…birds. This year’s competition program for Global Short Film 1 serves up a mix of seven films with notes of both seriousness and joy. The selection centers around loss, estrangement, and uncertainty, contrasted by playful, surreal films with a healthy dose of humor. Coming from all over the world, these films represent Asia, Europe, and the Americas alike. The Global program is our opportunity to include the entire international animation scene in the festival's lineup.
