For the first time, a pitching forum has been added to the program in Fredrikstad. The projects in this year’s inaugural event come from every corner of Norway. The jury will crown a winner on Thursday evening, and Storyline Studios will provide a 100,000 NOK production grant to the winning project.
Here is a look at the projects that will be presented at the pitch.
Finding Home (LØV Film): After being torn from his home, a young musk ox embarks on a dangerous journey across the Arctic to find his family. Along the way, an unlikely friendship with a fox and a reindeer teaches him that home is not a place, but a feeling of belonging.
Milad – The Birth of Walid (Mats Grorud): Imprisoned for life, Walid shares his cell with an old olive tree, a dog, a cat, a rabbit, a donkey, a bird — and his unborn daughter, Milad. The tree gives seven magic seeds for invisibility. The quest begins: how to reach ultimate freedom?
Saajve (Bautafilm & Krystallplaneten): When a sacred idol is stolen by a power-hungry crow, siblings Bräjta and Aanta must journey into the magical parallel world of Saajve to stop the evil giant Staaloe from destroying all the world's knowledge.
