Patrick Imbert is the Frenchman behind the film adaptation of the manga The Summit of the Gods, by Baku Yumemakura and Jiro Taniguchi, which earned Imbert his second César award for Best Animated Film. The film became a major topic of discussion within the international animation community and made its way to one of the major streaming services. In his Masterclass at the Fredrikstad Animation Festival, Patrick Imbert will discuss the film and the important choices made to adapt the manga story into a feature film. By focusing on the story and the construction of the visuals, Patrick will provide insight into how to produce a film from classic comics.
