A poetic tale of a snow bunting and a raven unfolds through movement and metaphor. When the raven steals the snow bunting mother’s song from her child, their conflict transforms into an expressive, abstract dance. Echoing the mesmerizing patterns of bird murmurations, the fight evolves from recognizable forms into fluid, ever-shifting shapes, a visual symphony of transformation.

Dajana Jefremova is a student at the Latvian Academy of Art, currently exploring the creative intersection of traditional storytelling and the fluidity of abstract animation. With a growing interest in the psychological and relational dimensions of narrative, her work often reflects subtle emotional undercurrents and rich inner worlds. Little Wings is the second animated short she has contributed to, continuing her journey into experimental visual language and mood-driven storytelling.
